Narrative Ideas




For my narrative I want to show/convey the aftermath of cancer. The before, during and after. Life after cancer is still very difficult due to the many things the person has to go through in order to get rid of cancer such as chemo, brain radiation, spinal taps etc. These all have consequences and I don't think people are really aware of how it can effect someones life after cancer. I think the way I will navigate this idea is through a series of pictures the convey a feeling using colors and words that surround the individual that hint at what is going on. 
Before: "that would never happen to me" "life is great", "life seems predictable", etc.
During: "Chemo", "brain radiation", "Spinal Taps", "hospitals", etc
After/Remission: "PTSD", "toxins from the chemo", "chance of it coming back", "Brain damage", "anemia" etc.

Final project idea

I have decided to change my idea to a stop motion film. I have done some stop motion in the past but haven't as of late and would like to get back into it. For my stop motion I want to focus on the concept of leaving your childhood behind and use possibly craft beads to create a child figure that dissipates. I have been working on a project in my fibers class related to this idea of "where did my childhood go?" and wanted to expand on it in other classes. I have uploaded a previous stop motion animation I have done just to demonstrate kind of what I mean.
